    Looking to buy a boat with cat power and engine tags say one engine is C30 and other 3412 both serial numbers start with CLX, anyone ever come up with this??

    You might want to call your local Cat dealer and have them pull up both serial numbers. Sounds like one of the engines has been replaced, maybe.

    Was told c27 c30 c32 and 3412 are same blocks and can be configured to same HP ratings, I didn’t know

    C30 is the newer version of the 3412 and they're great motors. They should be 1550hp in a pleasure craft rating.
