Does anyone know how Carver designed the alternator output on the Carver 355 ACMY 98 model diesel powered. I need to know if the alternator output voltage from each engine goes to the battery selector switch and then to the selected battery bank or if the voltage goes directly to each battery bank ie; left engine alternator to left bank and right alternator to right battery bank, by passing the battery selector switch. Thanks, Tim
To determine if one engine is charging multiple batteries, attach a voltmeter and note if voltage jumps when an engine is started. Most likely all batteries will receive a charge from either engine with the use of battery (charging) isolators.
