Trying the search option on this forum, someone else had a similar issue and it was discussed not that long ago. As I recall the advice given was the o-rings in the selector leaking causing the trans to go into gear uncommanded. Again, as I recall this could be worked on with out removal of the trans.

Correct capt fred..remove the selector on top and change out the o rings...if that doesnt fix it, I was told a bushing inside the tranny will need to be replaced which requires the tranny to be pulled...on a side note, what are your operating pressures?

I would start with removing the selector...if your remove it carefully , you can reuse the gasket

Don't let a few PSI scare you. The important part is you have a solid PSI at the correct test point.
Have you contacted any of the shops mentioned here or in past threads?
I do fell you have a leaking selector valve or real bad control cable adjustments.

While your at it, I would also put on an Oil pressure test gauge . Maddox makes an inexpensive test kit. I would put that on to get an accurate pressure reading to make sure your sender/dash gauge is good. Who knows maybe you are at 200 psi.

Have just brought pressure gauge to put directly on gearbox. Will change oil and inspect oil strainer on bottom of gearbox.
