Cabo 40 fuel gauge

    As an option to confirm fuel level in the Cabo 40's, I noticed on one that I looked at a year or so ago that the owner had labeled the 550 gallon fuel tank as 18 gallons per inch. He had a dip stick to track fuel consumption.

    Has anyone out there done something similar with these Cabo's? It seems like a simple solution especially since fuel gauges on boats can frequently give erroneous readings. Cabo 40 volume per inch.jpg

    Depends on shape of tank of that would be accurate or not.

    The tank is square from what I can see from the lazarette so it should be a linear calculation.
