I have a 1989 45' Convertible and the lower cabin door panel has some rot on the bottom.

This panel was easily removed and just a simple 1/2" plywood stained on the interior and skinned with I think a Formica material.

While trying to peel that skin off, it broke! Anyone know what the skin actual was or what a good replacement might be?

A picture would help but I think a Mahogany veneer is what you're looking for. I used 1x3 Mahogany trim around my counter tops and it was a perfect match to the rest of the wood in the boat
