hi all , am looking for ideas on replacing fly bridge ladder treads on 50 Post and was wondering what Viking yachts used on their ladders. Would like to change from teak to something else

Most vikings have teak steps. Black plastic is also popular and used by Hatteras and others. Teak looks the best IMO and I just swapped black plastic ones for teak on a new 59' Sportfish for the owner.

Plas teak, I used it on my 41 viking as a replacement for teak Bridge steps. Thicker than teak and looked great. Saw blade width grooves all one color.

I just changed my 50 post treads from factory metal to custom teak in manteo NC. First class work, I could not have been more impressed, not cheap either. The metal was slippery and occasionally i would bump my knee as I raised my leg and it feels much better bumping the teak.

Any suggestions for where to source teak treads and what are good dimensions?

You have to have a woodworker cut them and drill the holes, as each step is generally slightly different.
