Boot 2022 Cancelled

It appears that the organizers of the Boot Dusseldorf show has cancelled the event for 2022. The cancellation stems from the German government announcing the cessation of trade fairs and since Boot is essentially a trade fair it falls into that category. Escalating fears of the most recent Covid-19 variant -Omicron- is to blame for the cancellation. The stipulation floated by the German government suggests a ban on events that have more than 750 persons attending and since Boot Dusseldorf typically attracts upwards of a quarter million people over the period it is held we can see why the event is a no-go for this year under the current rules. The show was originally scheduled for January 20th to the 30th.
