This is what happens when you get hit by a ferry when in port. I am not a 100% sure on the story but i have been told the ferry hit this boat in port at it mooring.
Did the ferry back up and hit this guy twice? I am trying to firure how damaged occured bow and stern..
Hi, Joel- If the ferry hit the bow hard enough to do that damage it could well have shoved the yacht backwards into the dock at the same time hence the extensive damage to both ends. I would also guess that their Charter season is over for this year at least. http://www.happycharter.de/en/charter-yacht-2145.html#bottom
Is that hull made of plywood reinforced fiberglass? The trim tab thats hanging looks like it was just screwed into a piece of wood then into the hull.
It looks like the trim tabs are mounted on a block made of two pieces of wood covered with fiberglass.
K1W1 is correct i heard that the ferry hit them so hard that the stern hit the wall. I was amazed when i saw the construction of the trim tabs and the swim platform. The trim Tabs were screwed in with screws. At least you know if your trim tab comes of all you need is a screw driver to re-install it.
