Hello, i am planning to buy a steel 35 to 40ft sailboat that can navigate all oceans, everywhere- looking for strength. I understand that feltz might make the best ones. Is that true or what other options are there in the 50-70k range? What yearly maintenance can one expect on average on a steel sailboat? Cost and time on dry dock? Thank you, jyp
You'll get a Koopmans design for around that budget nowadays if you don't mind picking it up in Holland. Difficult to estimate maintenance costs. Depends largely on how the steel is treated during and after construction.
