Bahamas customs charging duties on parts?

    Hi,

    It says in the article that Cruising Permit holders can apply for a refund. It does not say how long that refund will take to come through or even if it will be paid should you have left the Bahamas and headed home or down south.

    It seems like another one of these lets squeeze the boating community some more schemes after all boats are expensive and what can they do if they need something they will have to pay.

    The article has a 2006 copyright. Is this current information? Just wondering?
