Azimut Yachts New 75' Motor Yacht -

Stefano Righini has introduced an evolution of his unmistakeable lateral windows on this new yacht project. The Azimut 75 has in fact ample glazing on the main deck illuminating the saloon, always shark fin shaped but less pointed and with softer lines. The solution that has been adopted for the lower deck follows the concept of a large window on the hull (see the 68S) doubling it, the large trapezoidal window has in fact been designed to illuminate both the owners cabin and the fore VIP cabin. This in specific recalls the renowned apotropaic eye found on Phoenician ships allowing the sensations of a sunset or dawn, the quiet of a bay or the vision of the surf on the waves to be admired also from the comfort and intimacy of the cabins.

The keel, designed by the yard’s technical department, is also new and has variable geometry with 13.5° aft. The first four units will be powered by two 1300hp MAN engines, to be followed with the new 1360hp common rail version for a cruising speed of approx. 26 knots and a maximum speed of approx. 30. With a length of approx. 75 feet and over 18 feet wide the Azimut 75 offers the space and comfort of 80. The main deck is dedicated to the large saloon with dining area, galley and wheelhouse; the lower deck has four cabins and four heads, engine room and an aft twin berth crew cabin.

The flybridge has a radar arch designed to permit a hard top with electrically operated shading for the greater part of the relaxation area to be mounted. The gangplank accessing the yacht is aft to starboard and electrically retracts beneath the wheel of the cockpit; three steps to the left, lead to the aft mirror to ease mooring and from where the engine room and crew cabin may be directly accessed. A large electrically extendable aft platform (4’ x 15’) allows guests easier access to the sea and the possibility of enjoying an 8’ x 15’ sea level private pseudo beach, which may be equipped with an umbrella and chaises lounges.
