    Attessa (03/25/2009-Puerto Vallarta)

I just returned from vacation in Puerto Vallarta. We were aboard the "Pirate Ship" leaving the marina on the morning of March 25th we seen Attessa heading in towards the marina. I got a few decent shots.

    Hi,

    Welcome to Yacht Forums.

Are you sure she was underway, if so she was operating illegally as she clearly displays the day shape for anchoring.

    Hi,

    Thank you.

It seemed to be anchored for quite sometime, as we got off in the distance it looked to be heading up the coast. I could be mistaken as it was quite a ways away by that time. It was gone when we arrived back about 5 hrs later.

When we got home here I decided to do some research as I have never seen her before. I am not very knowledgeable on yachts. They do interest me though!

If you look closely at the second shot you can see her anchor chain.

    Hi,

So do I and I have excellent vision and do not need any sort of corrective lenses but it doesn't seem to help, I can see what looks like the end of the Stbd Anchor easily enough but no chain on that side.

A local marine magazine here in BC has it that the new Attesa IV (ex Evergreen) will be 328' long.
It has been at Vancouver Shipyard for quite some time now...can't wait to see it.
Outmywindow, how's your zoom lense? can you get a shot from where you are?

Kevin, my eyes must be bad! I know she has to be anchored but in that photo you can't see a chain. Probably the chain was vertical and on the portside.

"Attessa IV" (ex. "Evergreen") will be shown to the public around October 1st 2010. If she looks anything like the rendering, she will bare little resemblance to her in her says as Evergreen. She is very stylish...

Looking forward to seeing the new Atessa IV. She has been under refit for a long time. Mr. Washington has a good reputation for stylish refits. The Feadship Atessa looks dramatically different from her days as Aviva.

Over 3 years in refit. "Attessa III" (ex. "Aviva") too was in refit for a pretty long time, not as long as the soon to be "Attessa IV". Well I guess for the average person who never knew what Aviva looked like wouldn't be able to tell it is the same yacht/structure.

Ageed. I have seen preliminary renderings of the new Atessa IV and if she looks anything like the images the Washington company has released, she will look very modern. I believe she will be approxiamately 100 meters. Looking forward to her unveiling on October 1.

i am not sure but i believe on Attessa was a few years ago a fire and she
was sold and refitted. Do you mean this refit or an other??
