AMG is no longer a good fit?
My AMG is still alive and well..!
Thx, Wow, that was a close call
Let me help getting the thread on track... This is the current state of the restoration of 72 Etype V12. We modified the bonnet (aka hood) to use original covered headlights instead of the awful open headlights regulators imposed on the E late 60s....
The V12 is going out for a full rebuild. Hoping to get it back on the road by the end of the year!
...and, surreptitiously ( a great word, that) conceals the label on the bottle of, uh, soda pop.
Hey, trust me--I'm a Yacht Broker.
I saw one with covered lights (and triple wipers) last week and it is so much better. BTW, I love the 61 Impala you have there too...
Should be the subject of the next YF review...?
This looks like a 6 cyl series 1 as it has the smaller bonnet opening and the turn signal above the bumper but it has flared arches and a wider track like the series 3
That Impala has been in the body shop for longer than my E. It belong to the owners
It has the Series 1 4,2 l 6 cyl but as you say, a wider track than original.
Lars & Pascal:
That E-type is pure sex.
one of my all time favourites ...
simply gorgeous ...
There's a nice one for sale in my village. Not sure how much he's asking for it.
Since the conversation has gone to E type, here is the new ride of a friend who met me for lunch recently and showed up driving this beauty. Pascal, you know this owner from the HOF.
Beautiful. From your area, classic car nut... The "doc" ?
That would be correct.
I recall reading that Enzo said the XKE was the most beautiful car in the world, but what would he know...
Vote for the Most Beautiful Rear End:
At the risk of a raising eyebrows by our predominantly male readership... E-type!
