Anybody know much about Lars halvorsen yachts?

There is a 1974 72' Lars Halvorsen & sons yacht for sale on yachtworld outside Portland Oregon on the Columbia River , it apparently hit a submerged pilon years ago and was repaired promptly and repowered with 8v detroits (had 12v detriots originaly) , this boat is wood construction but everything above the waterline is glassed over plywood ,looks a little waves,it seems like a recipe for dry rot? I believe halvorsen built a lot of the island gypsy trawler yachts ,I have read some good things about halvorsen on this forum, does anybody have any experience with these early wood Halvorsens
