After a long and mutually beneficial partnership, Amels Holland and Nigel Burgess are parting company. Recognising that the market has changed substantially over the last 5 years, this decision has been made together by both parties, thereby affording each company the scope to independently explore and develop their own strategies for the future.

Amels Holland, builders of some of the world's finest superyachts, and the well known yacht brokerage firm Nigel Burgess have enjoyed a successful marketing co-operation since 1988 which has resulted in a significant and rewarding level of business demonstrated by the number of yachts delivered from Amels in recent years.

Amels and Nigel Burgess intend to continue working together on a close and amicable basis, but as of 1st November 2004 no formal agreement of collaboration will exist between the two companies.

At the same time, Amels are transferring their interest in the Fort Lauderdale office, which will now wholly operate as part of the Nigel Burgess Group offering full yacht brokerage, charter and management services.

Jonathan Beckett of the Nigel Burgess Group and Frans Felix of Amels Holland said "We have really enjoyed the friendly and respectful relationship between our two companies over the years, which has been very rewarding and beneficial in many ways. We have operated very much as a 'family', however the market has evolved and it is time for change. We believe that this is the right decision for both companies".
