Retuning back from a five day trip, I lost power to both diesel engines while running on the aft tank. A quick switch to the saddle tanks and the Cats smoothed out. I previously had the saddle tanks and the aft tank 'polished' after experiencing the same challenge. However, I am concerned that the aft tank was not fully accessed for cleaning due to internal baffles and location. A quick look at the main fuel filters showed a considerable amount of 'crud' (probably algae). I know the aft fuel tank is under the main water tank, which forms the pedestal for the aft cabin bed, but are there any inspection ports let into the top of the fuel tank? Also, has anyone removed the water tank to get to the top of the aft fuel tank? Can the water tank be removed through the aft cabin companionway to the salon to get some working space? Thanks
