To start this thread for Abeking & Rasmussen's latest superyacht, here is a video of the yacht rolling out of the shed from the builders themselves.

The title of the video - a giant step ahead - is an accurate description. Not to speak in code, but - resistance is futile - might be a better descriptor. I met with the owner's rep last year and was granted permission for a YF review because of my background. The boat is still undergoing seatrials, but once complete we're flying over to Germany to cover the boat.

Thank you for starting a new thread for the new Avivva Ron. We need to continue doing this for all of the boats we discuss. The 'news" threads have become too long for most to folks read.

It appears that she has been delivered as she has left the A&R yard according to the following video. Destination, Gibraltar.

Since the above video alludes to her being delivered, have you had a chance to review her yet? Will there be interior photos along with the review?

I can't disagree with that :)... I can't wait to see that rumored Indoor Squash Court!

I love the yacht! Very awesome looking and it would be quite nice to see some interior photos of her. Only can hope that will happen!

So that´s how the FSG-built hull we saw 2 years ago looks finished? Extremely nice!

"Aviva" is back at Abeking & Rasmussen for 'refit' arriving there on the 15th of October. I doubt it is really a refit but more general maintenance and warranty work. This yacht was delivered just ahead of the Summer season if I remember correctly.

An online yachting magazine has details of the Paddle Tennis court on Aviva. To my surprise it is a unique space rather than a dual role tender garage, it seems to sit aft of the crew accommodation and forward of the engine room and its interior height means it occupies both the tank and lower deck space. It sounds and looks like a remarkable achievement.

Yes it is a huge space too. I have not seen a purpose-built space this large on a yacht before and as you say usually if there is a similar feature it is a dual-role space. "Madame GU" comes to mind with her squash court located in the helicopter garage. Of course that can only be utilized when the helicopter vacates the garage.

A sampling of Aviva pics arrived yesterday. She is suppose to arrive stateside in the near future. A full YF review is still forthcoming. Here's John McEnroe's favorite space on the ship...

Inquiring minds want to know. Is it a Paddle Tennis court or a Platform Tennis court or a Padel Tennis court? All three close to each other and, although Paddle translates into Padel, Paddle Tennis and Padel Tennis are not the same.

Aviva is the cover boat for a very prominent British yachting magazines April issue... I wonder if there will be a full interior feature instead of just the exterior and the paddleball court?? Hopefully so!
