We want to buy an aft cabin, preferably a 405 or maybe a 355. My mechanic says not to because he can not get the 7.4 motors anymore and the only way to get them out to rebuild/replace is to remove the entire fly bridge and cut a whole in the cabin roof. I'm not sure about what he is saying, I have never heard of this.

Has anyone had to go thru this? I would like to really like to hear about your experiences. Thank you in advance.

Gassers should easily fit thru the door after the manifolds are removed

Most definitely not true. They will fit out the back door or one of the windows as a long block.
