60' Roamer listed on eBay

There is a 1973 60' Roamer listed on eBay. It says this boat is located in St George's, Grenada. Last time I corresponded with the owners a couple of months ago they were on Margarita Island, Venezuela

This one is listed again on eBay starting at $60,000 with no reserve. Last time it was listed starting at $89,000 with no bids. First of the year they were asking $199,000 after they bought a condo on Margarita Island, Venezuela.

I got an email back from Jennifer, the owner, explaining why they are asking such a low price on their Roamer. This boat would make a great liveaboard for someone wanting to cruise the Caribeans.

The largest part of the price drop is because of the cost to return it to
the US, which it seems everyone wants to do. Fuel will run approximately
$10,000-$15,000, plus expenses. So basically I have to drop the price of the
boat to make up for relocating it back to the states. Under normal
circumstances this wouldn't even be a consideration however the market is
horrible and is saturated with boats. People trying to unload them, doing
the same thing I am, selling it for nothing just to get out from under it.
As an extreme example, there was recently a 20 million dollar vessel that
sold for 3 million on EBAY because the market is THAT bad. I'm here by
myself right now with it for I don't even want to think about how long. My
husband is back in the US being admitted for an indefinite period of time to
the Veteran's Hospital for multiple issues and told me to just "get rid of
it." It's a very sad and stressful situation, the boat just makes it more so
since it is now in the care of someone who doesn't know what to do with it.

There is nothing seriously wrong with the boat. The inside needs to be
updated, but is perfectly livable. The aft bulkhead of the superstructure
was poorly designed (where entry is from the swim platform in the aft) and
as result has rain water damage. It simply needs to be replaced with a
completely vertical bulkhead (not a big job for someone with carpentry
skills) instead of on the slant it currently has so it doesn't catch water.
Parts of the seating area on the flybridge need attention as well as
finishing out the addition of the radar arch, again no big deal for a person
with some skills. There is nothing wrong with the structure of the flybridge
itself. The boat runs beautifully.

At this point I choose to see it as I'm offering the opportunity to someone
who's ever had the dream of living on a boat and cruising, the chance to do
it affordably. Most boats this age need a remodel, or even if it doesn't,
it's not what you want and you plan to do it anyway....at least with this
one, no one will be paying for someone else's ugly or tacky remodel and
paying again to do what THEY want to it. Whoever buys it will be getting it
for a price where they won't feel guilty doing whatever they want to it, and
won't have paid for other people's tackiness. My husband and I were lucky
enough to come this far with it and be able to live part of the dream. For
reasons of health, that has been forced to come to an end. Island hoping
the whole way here was truly one of the most joyful, fun, exhilarating, and
peaceful things I have ever experienced and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
It's not about getting any money out of it at this point. I'd just be
thrilled for someone to be able to take this boat and enjoy what we have.

This yacht has been sold on ebay for $60,000.

I bought this boat, piloted her to Saint Lucia where I left her as I ran out of time (vacation). I am now unemployed trying to sell her.

The guy had listed on eBay twice. A couple of days ago I seen there was a bid of $70,000. It's not listed anymore.

60 ft Roamer

Well I tried to sell her but it wasn't in the cards. I got a deposit from one guy drug it out a month then stopped recieving my calls. Another guy bid to the reserve then wanted me to bring it to Florida with him paying, then give me $70,000.00 for the boat. The reason it was so cheap was because it was in the Caribbean, it is worth a lot more in Florida even in this market. I am keeping her, going to bring her back as soon as I can get a good weather window will probably live aboard and refit with time and money. Here's a pic of her in Saint Lucia.
