I have three aft deck hatches on my 56 SS. The port hatch leaks so that rain water and water from wash downs collects in it. Two questions. Will trying to re-seal it with something stop the leak? What to use? Also, there is a pump connected to the drain. I ma not sure whether that is to re-circulate sea water in the hatch, or empty the hatch of water after washing it down once fish have been thrown in it? Any ideas how the hatch pump works? Thanks.
