48 foot Chris-Craft Roamer Riviera Aluminum Motor Yacht – Owner Financing –Location Solomons Island, MD - Price: $130,000

Note from Dex: Paul Fleury, the owner of this vessel has been my personal friend for 25 years. I volunteered to place the following listing on his behalf:

Here is a unique opportunity to obtain this classic one-of-a-kind customized 1965 motor yacht belonging to the owner of a marine services company. As his private vessel, this remarkable yacht has been extensively modified with a litany of improvements which include:

    (1) A custom-built aft deck enclosure: This custom addition (costing over $100,000 to build) fully encloses the wheelhouse and provides a spacious enclosed aft salon as well. It is constructed of 5086 marine grade aluminum and 100% welded construction for no leaks. The enclosure features a beautiful cherry wood interior, recessed ceiling lighting and built-in AM/FM speakers. Remote marine VHF speakers are also built into the overhead forward of the helm. Other features include three watertight, insulated doors with dogs, thirteen main windows and four windows in doors.

    (2) A custom-built radar arch: Radar arch and mast are integrally welded. Wire and cable access holes. Two powerful Jabsco 12” spot/flood lights; Two Kahlenberg air horns with compressor; numerous antennas with redundant capabilities.

    (3) AC Rewired: The vessel's AC has been completely rewired and includes significant upgrades.

    (4) Repower of the propulsion engines: Two Caterpillar Diesels new in 1989. Engines used very little since then (only about 300 hours). Both engines are guaranteed to be in good running condition and fully operational:

    Manufacturer: Chris-Craft
    Model: Roamer Riviera
    Year: 1965
    Hull ID No. RAP-48-2501
    USCG Doc. No. 528514
    Hull Material: Aluminum
    Length: 48 feet
    Beam: 13 feet
    Draft: 39 inches
    Overall Height
(Keel to mast top) 21.5 feet

    Main Engines: (2)
    Manufacturer: Caterpillar, Inc.
    Model: 3208
    Fuel: Diesel
    Horsepower: 325 each
Hours: Approx. 300 hours on each

    Manufacturer: Kohler
    Capacity: 16 KW
    Hours: 1307 hours

The vessel’s standard and custom equipment, including many substantial upgrades, are too numerous to list here. We also have many additional pictures which we would be happy to provide. Simply PM me with your request.

Never Enough is mechanically and structurally very sound. It will provide many years of service for the buyer. The vessel has never been in a collision. It has been in fresh water the vast majority of the time. The hull and bottom are in very good condition. Neither has ever been (or needed to be) patched or repaired. The bilge is clean and dry.

It should be noted that the aft exhaust pipe/hose for the port engine needs repair replacement. Also the port thru-hull Thordan shaft bearing needs to be replaced (a spare bearing is included at no cost – new owner to install). Engines are in great condition and are guaranteed to start and be fully functional. Repair work on two of the four air conditioners is needed and some cosmetic work on the vessel would be desirable. (To assist the new owner, at no extra cost, the present owner is offering a one time haul out and 3 weeks of out-of-the-water time at his marina in Virginia which is less than a day’s cruise away).

Clearly the overall condition of the vessel is very good and it represents an opportunity to obtain an impressive motor yacht at a fair and reasonable price. Moreover the many customized modifications and improvements make this an exceptional purchase which will provide countless hours of enjoyable boating. It is especially well-suited to be used as a live-aboard vessel.

It has been owned for many years by a professional marine corrosion expert, as his personal vessel. He has always “gone the extra mile” to ensure that proper preventive maintenance has been performed. He is now selling Never Enough after having purchased a larger vessel (an 85 foot former US Navy dive boat that he is in the process of converting for personal use.)

Included in the sale is an extensive file of plans, layouts, schematics, etc. documenting the vessel’s many custom improvements and upgrades. Also included are instruction books/manuals for most of the onboard equipment.

    Owner Financing:
Owner prefers an outright sale however under the right circumstances owner financing for a fully qualified buyer will be considered. An appropriate down payment would of course be required. Please PM me to discuss further.

Never Enough is located in the water at Solomons Island, Maryland (Zip 20629). It is available for inspection by appointment. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
