    The 44m sloop Salperton was dismasted on route to Antigua. The cause is unknow at the moment.

    Hehe. That is a serious thing though. Pretty new rig and she was said to be sailing under normal conditions, the wind was not out of the ordinary at the time apparently so for the mast to snap like that is alarming. Maybe it had problems from rigourous sailing from before?
