We are looking at getting a 1987 3207.
I like to do as much of my own repairs as possible. One thought came to mind. How do the engines in these things normally come out? In this case twin 350 Crusaders.

How they come out depends on the boat. For most it's through the salon floor, but on some a hole is cut through the side of the hull. Take a look at this video that was posted a few days ago. Fortunately for these guys, an old Hat gives you a lot of elbow room. Most today don't have that luxury.

The top end of the motor would be stripped down to the block and then they mostly take them out of the window with a chain fall and a forklift on the 32 afts.

NYCAP, very interesting video. Wish they would have mentioned what all that cost.
RB480, that's what I was thinking, a partial tear down and then fork lift the rest out

From what was said in the thread it was the yard owner's boat so his costs wouldn't relate. We had a Yanmar yanked and rebuilt on an express a year ago. About 30K.
