I just took possession of a 2018 37' Billfish. Wondering why the bow thruster is always active on the controls. Thruster is always live even when the motors are off.
Alsothe fuel tank gauges are also always illuminated as is a gauge on the bridge. Is this normal? Just curious why it would be wired that way.
    First time Viking owner.
    Thanks,

    Drew

Have you tried calling Viking and asking these questions? Their customer service is always excellent.

There should be a battery switch near the thruster motor. I can't imagine there not being a switch. Sidepower recommends power being disconnected to thruster motor whenever boat is unattended.

I ve seen fuel gauges being illuminated at all time on some boats. The thruster though should have a battery switch. What kind of thruster? Most have on off switch by the joysticks. I doubt Viking Cut any corners
