    After a 14 hour flight from Atlanta, I am now here. If there are any of folks from Yacht Forums at Dubai, let's get together. I'll take the lead and send some photos tomorrow.

    As promised, some photos from fellow member Jorge Lang at the 2012 Dubai International Boat Show. As he said, the yards brought out their toys and here are some of them!

    * 145-meter 'Fortissimo' project by Fincantieri...

    * Feadship and their larger offerings, a breath of fresh... and something to get "Tango-ed" in.

    * The Germans are coming! or they went? "Valerie" with "Pacific" in the background.

    * One of OceAnco's new projects. Got to love that aft main deck area with the large sun shades.

    * Something fast and powerful to carry more toys! Think Amels, Damen Sea Axe! This one is under construction!

    * A lil' something for the Viking fans...

    * The Sunseeker parade...

    * A Westport..called "Al3agrab"

    * Sunseeker profile...

    * Vicem "Antalya" Cruiser.

    * The ever great looking "Andiamo"...

    * A little colour from Jorge as he describes the next piece "It looks like a black soccer ball with a F-16 cockpit as a helm station."

    * More of the 'Black ball'...

    * Yet, more of the 'Black Ball'...

    Great pix, thanks for the effort. Just a small note "Al3agrab" means The Scorpoin. Liked the A&R, Lurssen and Fincantieri.

    Awaiting more of the goodies.

    Thanks again.

    Cheers.

    Thanks for the photos.
    The Vicem is a beauty, although they have a few to many downlights covering the cockpit.
    As for the Black Ball, it should be in the Ugliest thread!

    Alfred, the pics aren't mines, I just recieved them from Mr. Lang and resized them and uploaded them for him since he is working at the show and has no time to upload in a timely fashion, So I was making things easy for him. If he takes more, i'll be sure to add them.

    Secondarily, I never knew that about the name, is it Scorpoin or Scorpion?

    My personal thanks are extended to Mr. Lang for his effort along side yours.

    Sorry for misspelling! It is Scorpion.

    Thanks again for both of you.

    Cheers

    Thanks again to you and to Mr. Lang.

    Those fishing boats are by "Emirates Boats" they say the hull's moulds are made in the states, or at least that is how they are promoted! In that area there is a common preference for boats made in the region over those imported because of the HUGE price difference.
    Am still hoping to see more of Benetti and Azimut since they have a great presense in Dubai not to mention that Azimut has a good stock there that feeds the whole gulf region.

    Great shots, thanks again.

    Cheers.

    Thanks, Jorge! Great pics. Hope all is going well for you at the show.

    Hope you're offering some smoking' deals - must be exhausting :D

    Doesn't look like a boat show without the topsiders lining the docks.
