Chris Craft got it right with the 40 Roamer (called the 43 Roamer after 2003, a modern day classic whose stunning lines and many custom features make her a traffic-stopper anywhere she goes. As Boating Magazine wrote at the Roamer 40 introduction in 2003, the new Roamer 40 "harks back to those halcyon days of Mahogany Planking, Brass fixtures and Gray Marine Engines". True enough; with her retro lok- including flared bow and foredeck rumble seat the Roamer is nothing if not distinctive. Stepping into the oversize cockpit with its beautiful teak sole and posh lounge seating, everything about the Roamer feels elegant and romantic. The exquisite detailing of the galley, heads and staterooms complements the main cabin's efficient use of space. the Salon is very roomy with cherry-wood joinery and designer features throughout. Stainless-Steel windows run the entire length of the Cabin. the Side Decks are wide, and the hardtop was standard.
