Can anyone tell me where I can find information on a 1989 post sport fishing boat. The 43 is what I am most interested in.

    1989 6V92.

A Detroit dealer can give you the engine config as it left the factory and who it was sold to.

I own a 1989 43 footer. I can't help with questions on the 692's as mine has 671 TIB's. But I would be more than happy to answer any other question that you might have. As RT 46 said, you are in the right place!

These engines are rated at 550 hp. @2300 the code i can"t find is the unit 06VF17 i have seen 06VF21 want to know the difference as we are looking at buying this boat. Also, in front of the model # there is a number 1A02323 and off to the right side bottom of tag there is a L19167 sitting all by itself. any help with this would be appreciated. Would that be a factory install?
