Guys just for your info, I had noticed that on my 86 46' electronics box hinge was cracked and the other 2 were not much better. After a brief search online the original company that made these for Post is still in business but will not sell directly to the public, they were kind enough to give me the contact info for a local distributor who did in fact have them in stock. My boat's hinges were brown in color, I did replace all 3 with black, it looks better against the black plexi door. Here is a pic of the sales reciept with their contact info. I hope this is useful for owners of pre 88 Posts.
hinges Lou, I am happy that this info will be helpful to you. I was told that they are available in black, brown and white. If you look at the original it has the manufacturers name on it (C E Sheppard) of Texas. The distributor sent the parts out yesterday and I recieved them today, and you see what they charged me. I only wish everything we needed for our Posts were this easy.
McMaster Carr is an amazing source. I have a Corp. Account with them. If you can think of it they have it. Order by 4pm get it next day. But not the cheapest. Oh one other thing since thing since this is a marine forum you should know they are an Industrial supply house.
