Currently located Taverna, FL - she sank and was salvaged -- but not before the engines suffered water intrusion and the aft deck hatch floated away. Apart from that, she's all there - a veritable diamond inthe rough. Well, a good starting point for a restoration anyway.
Aluminum-hulled, Regals (and their Riviera sisterships - see: http://www.geocities.com/alloyed2sea/models_index2.html)
were the top of line in Chris-Craft's Roamer Boat Division - especially when outfitted with all mahogany interiors as is "Caroline" offered here for the low, low price of 5 large. Basically your ante, expect to pay at least 3 grand each to rebuild the motors, or alot more to buy new ones. That and rewiring the electrical system (3-5Gs) will probably get you rolling along for your first season. (total $15K+).
Remember: BOAT = Break Out Another Thousand.
Compare that to the price of a quality 38 footer and the numbers start to add up.
