1989 45' convertible. 1 side of the salon air handler in ceiling has finally decided to die. The unit/compressor is still cooling great, only one squirrel cage fan stop working.

The engines have around 3000 hours, with a major overhaul done at 1000 hours in 2010. Since then, annual routine maintenance has been carried out by the same owner.

The boat is located in Europe, where there’s not much experience with these models, so I’d really appreciate your input on a few points:

Our 1989 45 convertible factory swim platform ladder is bent and cracked from years of use. Looking to replace it with something simple and factory. Any Ideas?

How does the factory artwork (above dinette) come off the bulkhead? I want to update the picture but not the frame. Anyone do this without destroying the frame?

I am sorting out our "new to us" viking and have no DC voltage at the vacuflush or windlass. I have run temp power to the head pump and it runs and believe the vacuum tank switch to be good. Looked at the boats manual & believe both are powered off the stbd battery bank and should have 24/7 voltage. There is no breaker on the panel for either, but the windlass does have a switch on the bridge. Have been looking at other SF's but a nice Viking popped up that I'm going to go have a look at. Would appreciate suggestions as to problem spots that I should definitely look at while I'm there. This is just a first look but I'd like to make the best of it. If it goes well then we'd do another more detailed inspection and a survey if we decide to buy.

the motors are 1200hp Mans, 2:1 zf gears

The PO reported the original props being damaged by electrolysis, and the boat being about 2 knots slower after getting new propellers.

According to my research and confirmed by Viking, the original wheels were 31x46x4

the boat makes almost 2400 WOT loaded. So I’ve got a little bit of room to prop up, maybe.

wondering if it’s worth the expense to have 31” wheels made for it?...

On the way back to my marina from the haul out facility - every 15 minutes or so while running on plane, the boat would suddenly veer about 5 degrees to one side or the other - the way a car feels when when hitting a patch of ice. I have a new to me 2001 43 viking convertible. The holding tank has a few leaks at the top plate that is screwed down into the tank that holds all of the fittings for the discharge, pomp out, vent hoses etc.
