I am potentially in the market for a sport fishing boat in the 38’ range and am intrigued with a few 37 Canyon express boats on the market. Can anyone here speak to that boat specifically or provide any feedback they have heard about the quality and reliability of the build? I currently own a 2008 30’ Grady White Express and love the boat, but am looking for something a bit larger for more comfortable family trips and off shore fishing.

Up to this point I have gathered that most...

It’s been a while since I used a forum, but as this is an older boat, I figured it would be good to record some of this project!
I have just purchased a 1999 320 open, as a project! No real history, other than it has 2 rebuilt yanmar engines, replaced props / shafts and rebuilt ZF gearboxes.
the rest….. well.
This is a European based project, so access to some parts / resources is a little more limited.
- fibreglass, complete repair / fair and paint of top...
However, once in a while, the Starboard alarm will go on , but rather softly... not full loud.
I wonder if there is an electronic retrofit helm that I could use, of course with all the sensors and servos required to make it to work.
BTW, the cruise control, radar, etc. are not working neither, hence the idea to update and retrofit to electronics if possible.

I posted this question in the main area but thought it may get more response just amount Luhrs owners. Has anyone ever had to change the trim tab actuators on a 32 open. Both of mine have stopped working and are in the up position so you can not see the actuator since they are in a pocket. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Hello, there. I just bought a 1999 Luhrs 32 convertible and need to fix a few things. The "VDO four gauge cluster" (fuel - volt - 80 psi) doesn't work and I don't know where to buy a new one, do you have any suggestions? Then I have a problem with the throttles since one of the two levers doesn't stay in position. Do you know if I have to replace the whole group or if there is an internal part that I can replace? Thanks for your attention.

Have just purchased a 2004 - 40 Luhrs Flybridge in Australia.
Question is, I cant see where the engine air intake is drawn from into the bilge to provide cool air to intakes, this boat does not have the usual vent cut into the side of the hull like I have seen most luhrs of this age have.

Also has anyone installed booster fans to increase cool air into the engine bay? Im thinking if I can get the engine bay cooler and more air flow, more HP and less $$ on running.
