You would enjoy my birding club, where guys wait for hours to take that one perfect shot with their $10K lenses.
I rarely get recognition with these pros, where as they get paid for their captures. ;)

Well I am not into birds really, it is just that I know a good photo when I see one that is all.

Great pics, I usually only see False Creek, which doesn't have nearly as much activity.

MV Hollyburn was launched in 1936 and served as a ferry between North Vancouver and Downtown as well as a tour boat.
Most recently (Dec 26th) she sank while docked in CH and then was re-floated on Jan 3rd.
Looks like this is her final sail to a place unknown.

All kinds of boats in False Creek, get yourself a image capture box and start a tread.

Looks like all it took is a couple of years of promoting Vancouver through YF to reach the #1 status of a place everyone wants to move to.

This could be a good thing if you want to sell your modest condo and retire on a luxury Yacht in Florida, but unfortunate if your selling your Yacht and hoping to get into a starter home in Vancouver.

What's the hovercraft used for? Is it Coast Guard?

    Hovercraft ID?

Is the hovercraft the CCG Siyay? I cannot read the numbers on her hull in this photo, but the Canadian Coast Guard site (http://www.ccg-gcc.gc.ca/eng/Fleet/Vessels?id=1109) says that Siyay has a home port of Richmond, B.C. The other B.C. based vessel (Penac) doesn't look like that craft and the two that do look the same are based in Quebec.

Looks like the Siyay is using its on-board crane to implement a security zone for the waterfront Olympic media centre.

Apparently the Al-Qaeda have a problem with the “2-man luge” competition (who doesn't).
