Great photos. Thanks for sharing them with us. All nice boats that are being well maintained. Its great to see "Lady Catherine" looking so good. She is one of my success stories, having sold her to her current and former owners. It takes some of the sting out of my unfortunate experience with the afore-photo'd "Valor" and my participation in putting her into the hands of the owner who presided over her destruction. Grrrrrr.

Does anyone have any information on the current state of the Super Van Craft market and their suitability for the East Coast US?
    Many thanks,

    Trumpy Drawings

Does anyone have any ideas about where to get original drawings for Trumpy yachts? We are new owners and new to this site. Thanks

    Now this is a YACHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful, something to justify calling an "investment"!
    Why?
I would rather die aboard her than die at a directors meeting hearing the Co. just made a huge profit!

I would rather die of exhaustion working on the teak than die making another dollar!

I would rather see my sons left with NO inheritance but memories on this vessel, than leave them a million dollars but have them wish they spent more time with me!:D

And I could go on and on and be crazy sentimental! Enough schmaltz.
    BTW there is this Trumpy:
    floridamariner.com/printRecord.php?Mactive_ID=oe633506935464710075471-web&cat=PowerBoats
Looks like it needs a LOT done Price $59,000
Also, why does some manufacturer get the message! These are boat designs (especially with modern build materials) that WILL SELL!
    Thanks for the thread!

Hello Paul, Welcome to YachtForums! I'm going to take a flying guess that you may be the new caring steward of a 1939 Mathis Trumpy 63' Houseboat? Her drawings must exist somewhere due to her previous CG Cert for passengers. I may be able to connect you with that information. I will make a few phone calls.

SeaEric, I was logged in as Paul before but was having trouble and I am now back as Bow Scroll, appropriate since becoming the new caring steward of a 1939 Mathis Trumpy 63' Houseboat. And yes there were drawings that we have that were the documents used for the COI. I was actually looking for original construction plans from when she was built. I am an architect and wanted to create a 3D database drawing of the the entire boat. Any ideas?
    BTW, we are Soooooooo Excited!

I don't think there is a real market of them on the US East Coast, as for suitability for their operation US East Coast / Bahamas, I can't think of anything that would make them a poor choice so long as the electrical system is set up for US power. It's a real pain in the butt to have a 220V 50Hz boat that you're going to use in a region where most all the appliances and equipment is made for 120V 60Hz. It's not as bad as it used to be since a lot of electronics now accepts 90-230V-50/60Hz, but there's enough stuff that isn't that you find yourself importing a lot of piddly stuff.

John Trumpy and Sons in Annapolis suffered a devastating fire that consumed many of the company records. I will see what I can discover, but I would not hold out much hope for securing the original drawings.

I was afraid of that. I appreciate you checking it out. There have to be some drawings out there even if they are for a similar but a different yacht, I may be able to interpolate. Thanks again.

Also check with the Smithsonian, they have a collection of plans as does the National Archive and Library of Congress. You never know what you might come across. Mystic Seaport may also be worth contacting.

thanks Henning. I have notified Mystic and they are researching it. I have not tried the Smithsonian and that is a great idea. I will keep you posted.
