Isn't every boat always for sale? Seems like a nice enough boat. If I could get a $120k for it I'd sure as heck take it.

Sure but to buy a .com and go to that much trouble to advertise it, just seems like going out of your way unless you *need* to unload it.

He spent $29 or less and spent a few hours to create an advertising portal advertising a boat at a value that will easily absorb the cost. Have you seen a wood CC bring anywhere near that money in the last 2 years? I haven't been watching the market specifically, but these days I'd say that boat will market around $70k if it shows in person as nicely as it represents in pictures.

I just happened across this: http://www.yachtbroker.com/boat-ad/display/ad_id/106118113

    $120 k looks like a bargain.

If I missed something, please inform me.

Wow relax lol, we need like a  icon lol. I was thought it funny it's up for sale so quick is all. I wasn't giving him any real **** for it. Heck blowing his asking price out of the water seems more of an attack that my comment lol.

Anyway lol, I'd pay $65K for it in a heartbeat personally.

That's not their updated price for that boat. It's down to $150K I believe. I personally don't care for the kitchen/dining table setup on that '49 personally. I MUCH prefer the interior of the OPs boat.

I was just making a selling price comparison, not saying that is what it is worth.

I would have to agree that it may be a bit high, but, it is worth as much as a person is willing to pay.

Exactly, I just don't see old wood boats bringing that money in this market considering what you can buy for not much more these days.

I certainly agree, however I do find them to be great looking boats.

I prefer a newer style interior which would keep me from that market.

Interiors can be updated. I've seen some nice old wood boats refit very exquisitely. It's not cheap though and you never see more than a 10% return on investment.

Update: I emailed the seller and the boat was sold about 6 months ago he said. Looks like the OP who is the new owner didn't care of the for sale .com stayed active until the domain expired lol.

Personally, I would ask that the seller take the site down.

lovely boat! as a very young man I kept a brochure of the CC Conqueror by my bedside and looked at it every night before I went to bed.Incidentally the Conqueror was a great favorite of the famous designer the late Tom Fexas.

I have a 1958 55' Chris craft Conqueror that is amazing. We are about to move onto it full time with our 5 year old son in Florida. Our plan is to live on it for around 3 years and save enough money to move to Spain. If we found someone interested in buying her then we would move sooner, but we are not ACTIVELY trying to sell her.I will post some pictures soon
