Hi, what you need is seacharts and a compass. What else do you have in mind that is not included in a yacht this size?
Welcome to YF Qamber. I think he's looking for actual recomendations. It's out of my class, but if you go into the search feature above you'll probably find what you're looking for. Here's one link I found under electronics: http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/t...electronic-upgrade.html?highlight=electronics
N.s Thanks guys..well actually I've got a compass and now am looking for a good brand navigation system (sea-charts), which suites yachts in the size range i mentioned...am still searching for a reliable one..i don't want to get lost in the sea
Nobeltec Admiral is a user friendly full feature system that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It's a Jeppessen product, so it's well supported. You don't need full ECDIS, so it'll work just fine for you.
I would go with nobletec, for both the lower and upper stations based on a PC. Then in addition to that I would have a Furuno RD30 (basic gps) as well as Furuno Navnet systems at both the upper and lower stations for fishfinder(depth), GPS, camera's and radar. Simrad for autopilot. And a FLIRS nightvision system. In addition to your compass/sextant/ and lead line hehehe
