    Good Afternoon everybody,
Does anyone has information regarding foreign flag vessels (Cayman Islands) chartering in Spain territory? I do know that you need a special charter licence but any more info and recommendations regarding a good local agent in Barcelona or Balearic Islands for issuing this licence will be very much appreciated!:)

    Hi,

I have not heard of a license as such but it's been a while since I was on a charter boat.

I think that your official obligations depend on if you pick up and drop off in the same ports and how long you spend in the EU with your Cayman Flag before you have to get the all encompassing license and pay the VAT.

Well, irrespectively of duration which is common in all non EU yachts chartering in Europe, Spain has some odd extra requirements or at least this is what i have heard and read.
