She looks nice at any angle but as you say.."Angelus may be bias" LOL
Nice pics people. Thanks. Although, The aft end picture. What on Earth is going on with my passerelle pantagraph door? Looks like its about to fall off. Took 9 years but looks very crooked. Had they just closed or maybe about to open it. I think the hydraulic lock have not engaged properly.. Thanks again anyway..:)

I was wondering the same thing, it looked strange as it wasn't closed flush with the hull. It doesn't look like it is about to fall off, you are exaggerating but it doesn't look as normal.

I was having drinks at Castle Hill with my boss when you shot this pic; Small World.
She left Martha's Vineyard this morning and we crossed her path as we were leaving Nantucket.

I hate boats that don't move. Clearly that is not the situation with this yacht. Good for them and for the people who get to enjoy the sight of her on the move.

Well dah!. I didn't mean it as an exaggerating, but the way it was designed was that the 4 hydraulic locks not only give you a watertight seal but also take some of the strain off the main pivot point. This door weighs,, well a hell of a lot.. But agree yes..strange to see. last I saw this door in the flesh it was completely flush. Something is adrift. Skipper! If you read this PM me and i will fix it for you for the cost of a day onboard! LOL..

Hi everyone, I'm new here, but I'd just like to thank everyone for keeping track of Lady Christine, as my son is crew on board, and it's not always easy finding out where he is.

    Ken.

This is worse than when my mother knew about my skitching on the Good Humor truck before I even got home. Should be interesting if a pic shows up with him and his new GF or something.:)

    She's in Boston

Just saw her this afternoon in Boston - what a beauty. Who owns this?

Again, as we here tirelessly say, we do not discuss the ownership of yachts unless it is widely known in the public domain. Even then, the object is not to discuss ownership but the yachts themselves!
  13. Questions about Lady Christine in Boston MA

    Hi,

I am new to the forum and joined because I recently saw the Lady Christine in Boston MA on Sunday July 19th. The yacht was docked at the Boston Harbor Hotel Waterfront and was absolutely gorgeous. I noticed the back of the boat listed Bikini M.I. which I had never heard of and looked up on-line to find it is a former US nuclear testing site in the Marshall Islands which is going to be resettled in 2010 now that the nuclear exposures have been minimized. Any information about the Lady Christine that an interested person might like to share would be helpful.

    Thanks, H

  15. What about the Bikini M.I. on the back of the boat?

    Hi,

    Thanks,

    H

There are several places to register boats that give tax, privacy and other legal advantages. Bikini is one although most yachts you see around here use the Caymans.

The Marshall Islands were a US administered "trust territory" until the late 1980s. The Marshall Islands shipping register is a flag of convenience and has become very popular with American yacht owners due to the special relationship between MI and the US.

Under what is called the "Compact of Free Association" which came into effect when the MI became independent, the US agreed to provide military protection to the MI and this extends to their ships as well. While this hasn't been tested since the "tanker war" in the Persian Gulf, it is a major reason why several US shipping companies have flagged with MI.

There are two ports available for registry of vessels in the MI, Jaluit and Bikini and one or the other must be chosen when applying for registry.

I am kind of surprised that the origin of the Bikini swim suit has already faded from memory. It was named after the tiny atoll that became famous in 1946. The suit was originally called the atom (the smallest thing around) but the site of the bomb test sounded better.

That's because the suit has been replaced with something much, much smaller. More like an atom split a few times.:D :D :D :)(We really need a dirty old man icon. )
