2008 Monaco Yacht Show

    The 18th edition of this year's Monaco Yacht Show is set to take place in the Principality of Monaco from Wednesday 24th to Saturday the 27nd of September. For those who still do not know what the show is, here is a description.

    "The Monaco Yacht Show brings together professionals from the international luxury yachting sector; ship-builders and designers, equipment suppliers, brokers and service providers. The MYS is renowned throughout the sector for being the show that must not be missed in the luxury yachting sector because it is the only yacht show exclusively devoted to Superyachts of at least 25 meters in length."

    For this year's show there will be about 95 yachts. However, there will be about 40 new motor and luxury sailing yachts. Well it is soon coming to that time of the year when arguably one of the biggest boat shows take place, the Monaco Yacht Show.

    Oh wow,, I can't believe it,, we just booked our first trip to Italy with a 3 night stop on Monte Carlo. Just found out the yacht show starts that week. So I'll be seeing all the pre-event goings on. Can't wait.

    So... who's heading to Monaco Yacht show this year?

    Not long till the Monaco Yacht show!

    We are just getting things ready for our stand. This will be the first time that I have been to the show, I have been working in the south of France but didn't see as many boats as I will be.

    I can't wait.

    Who else is going to be there?
    What will you be doing? A Visitor? Bringing along your yacht? or an exhibitor like me?!

    where to meet?

    Hi gentlemen,

    I am the "3dyachts.com" guy, and shall mostly hang around the "Abu Dhabi MAR" booth where we shall have some animation on display.

    Sorry if I do not post much here (or anywhere else= busy!), but there are some characters from Yachtforums whose posts I often read and I would love to meet...and for a cold one: yes, sure!

    Just: where? Is there any possibility to have a rendez vous point at some of the bars and a small board there? Any one who knows someone who could arrange that?

    I'll be there for the 3rd time as I only live 20min far from MC !
    I'll be there for my hobby which is supercars and recently boats/yachts sightings ... but also to try to meet professionnals there as I would like, after my studies, to work in the boat industry as a broker !

    :) :cool:

    [PS : I'll also be at the Salon de la Plaisance of Cannes for the same reasons ...]

    Hi all, sorry im very new to this. I was thinking of going to the show this year, but would be driving from UK, any ideas of any hotels around the show? Although i am a new face to the forum, are people meeting up anywhere or on a certain day? It would be nice to meet other real yacht enthusiasts! :) Bex
