Nice work OMW! Yes, it is the 1940 Elco "Matriarch", hence my reference to electric boats from the era. Little did I know the boat had a dedicated charter website or I would have been cruising Keowee in style, as opposed to renting a dock with an outboard.

Adventure Cruising "Clipper Odyssey", it was here a while ago. A nice break from the Giant Cruise-ship experience.

Ok, I have another yacht I can not figure out. This one also was in Mackinaw, last week.

Sorry for the poor quality photos, she was a long ways out. It looks to me to me at least 150'

Let me know what you guys think.

    Thanks

Could be the Hakvoort Lady Duvera III. If it is indeed her, she is 44-meters long.

Castlerock I believe you are right. However, Lady Duvera III and Cracker Bay have pretty similar profiles. So I do believe I was not that far off.

Anyone know what yacht this is? (Greece)

Was looking at some old photos from when I was in Mykonos last summer..

Anyone know the name of this beauty? Or any others? That second sailboat in the back is really nice too. I remember going on a jetski and was told to go slow near them :p

I've got something interesting that passed by my window a few days ago. Sorry for the quality. Humidity induced. It's a cat called "Cindarella". Appeared to be alloy in construction. Size: about 75 feet. It has lines reminiscent of some boats down under, but has a strange, "dome shaped" skylounge roof. Any takers...

built in Australia. She spends quite a bit of time at the town docks in Palm Beach (although she barley fits in her slip because of the beam)

"Cindarella" is a Awesome 770 cat built by Dickson Marine in Nelson, New Zealand, rather than someone in Australia. [Sorry - showing my parochial Kiwi sensitivity to such heinous errors!] Designed by Malcolm Tennant I understand and reputed to be extremely economical at reasonably good speeds for quick ocean passages consistent with the typical performance achieved by the designer's high speed ferries. Deep and narrow underwater sections for the hulls quite similar to Swarth characteristics. Extremely comfortable manner. Efficiency is further enhanced by shafts offering parallel thrust to attitude of vessel - no down angle.

Additional benefit of protected running gear and possible beaching capability.

With high fuel prices it seems a 'no brainer' that such designs will become more commonplace coupled as they are with the greater living spaces offered by catamaran wide beam configurations.

    Hi,

Blair, I don't know if you know much about SWATH Vessels.

They are quite different to a conventional multihull in that their buoyant sections are fully submerged all you see sticking out of the water are the struts.

Have a look at the new Abekings Silver Cloud the boat has it's own website you will see that it is basically a pair of submarines with a boat stuck on top of the struts.
