J22 and J24s

    Does anyone have any experience with both of these boats. I am thinking of buying one of these two and wanted to know which one is more fun to sail and faster. Also I know there is a big racing class of J24s but will I be able to find local races in the northeast with the j22 also ???

    My first overnight race was on a J24 ,great boats had a lot of fun racing them, they have kind of been replaced with the J22 class now.
    If you like fast 2 man racing in a big dingy go for the J22 thats if there's a fleet in your area.
    If you like a bit of crusing as well as racing go for the J24.

    As Dhowdodger says, what fleet is in your area. I loved sailing 24's and 30's but 22's maybe all the thing to have where you are. Remember there is a very active 24 International circuit going as well.
