    Thanks Mark, there is actually a huge difference in designing a one-off versus a production boat. The latter is to maintain a brand and as said before, this can be done by keeping a signature style.

    Right now I will also start with a 75-footer and I think the 50' and the 75' should be close to each other in style, when I find it...:confused:

    yeah - you're going to build the big boy's toys, don't you? ;)

    75 foot - that's a long way to go with style of the 40/50 foot boats - waiting for first drawings :)
    maybe with a raised pilothouse?

    Lars, my preference for the reverse windscreen is because the company that built our units custom response rhib builds that style for a number of reasons, some of which you have already stated in previous post. You are right about the signature look, and IMHO your designs, the 25 33 40 etc have a rakish look, clean but serious

    This is the rhib they built for the unit, the windscreen is not reverse on this vessel and actually the unit has a new vessel which I havent operated yet as I am on leave.

    Yes Jannick, we will see what's next. Anyway, we have clients asking for them and we have expanded our factory to be able to build them. So I have to speed up the design job a little now...

    This is the plug for the upcoming D34, now being sanded and polished to build the mould from. The deck is still in the mill, I may go there this week to check it.

    Yes Ron, that runway can take my Gulfstream 550, when I get it...:D

    Here is a new open on the D29 hull we may produce later this year. A little different for a different target group.

    that's some tender-alike boat - but the round end of the windscreen doesn't fit in my eyes - maybe more a hard edge?

    Jannick, the fact that your eye sticked to the window shape, makes it special. Without it, there would be nothing special...? Actually, this style was used on a couple of boats in the 1960:s and I still like it. Besides giving a better wind protection. But we´ll see how it ends up.

    as normal you're right :rolleyes: - that's what make this one special - just another idea: have you tried a reverse windscreen on that one?

    If thats the D29 hull it started as a reverse didnt it?

    I like the round end on the windscreen, actually it reminds of gofast glasses if any of you know what i mean.

    So long as it's nit-pick season on this design ...

    I'm Ok with this windshield shape. But am not so comfy with the simplicity of the helm setup. I would be tempted to add a hardtop. Which would give a major change to the whole look. Maybe even require a completely different windshield.

    Yes Kelly, but this is where I started. I removed the hardtop and changed the windscreen from the original D29...:D

    The hardtop was nice, and would suit the weather where I am, but i like the open, looks kinna more mediterranean, riviera, you know, something like that.
    Question Lars, is that a maneuvering thruster at the fore end of the hull?

    Yes Toppsy, we have bowthrusters as standard from this size of boat and up. It can be nice on single engine boats, especially if you are alone onboard. On a recent 40-footer we have both stern- and bowthruster, plus a docking station aft...
