No need for fireworks, but I like to make note of certain milestones. On December 6th, 2007, we welcomed our 10,000th member. That member was a bot, as were the next few members that signed up that day until a real, live, actual human being registered. Long live the carbon-based life form!

Today, Tuesday April 22, 2008... YachtForums eclipsed 50,000 posts. By mainstream forum standards, this isn't a big number. No surprise, yachting isn't exactly a household topic. However, this number is significant because it represents something that many forums can't brag about... 50,000 informative and educational posts.

    Congrats to YF's carbon units!

Not bad, especially as I am deleting more than i am posting..:D

But I guess most members donĀ“t like to buy cheap or fake gadgets from P.O. Box dealers....

Just think Carl... if we left all the advertising spam we'd have topped 50k months ago. :D I guess Lars has been beating me to the spam lately, as I haven't seen much myself, even when I log-in at 6am in the morning.

    Congrats guys and gals,

I'm on the water 50 years (professionally 20) I've found very few days on the water where I haven't learned something new and any day I learn something new is a good day. Since I take most of the winter off my learning slows down. This year I learned computers, and located your site. I've had a lot of good days this winter. (learned a lot from the people on here)

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Congrats Carl.

It has been my pleasure save for a few hiccups to be a member of this forum, may it continue to be such a magnet for the informed, the professionals and those willing to learn.

Along with congratulations, thanks go hand-in-hand. Thanks for the effort put into providing the forum. And thanks to everyone who has posted humorous, knowledgeable, and informative posts (and even some that weren't).

Congrats Carl. I have been on board now for almost a year and learn something just about every time I log on. This site is certainly one of a kind with a great group of regular participants. Keep up the good work.
