No, not the biggest but sometimes size does'nt matter if they have lines like that.

On looks alone, currently my favorite is the (proposed ?) new 85.5m Y705 from Oceanco.
(cant grab a pic, maybe someone else more computer literate could ?)
Styled by Bjorn Johansson, it has an aggressive modern look I really like.

Y-705 is the bomb, I have mentioned this before. Very nice, modern, relaxive design, being somewat angluar. You all know i'm up for angles. Not boxy though! curves are nicer sometimes though.

    Hi Ricardo,

These are two of the Catamaran concepts that I made a couple of years ago for another YF:s member, TRY, to be built in fibreglass. I guess the clients/investors have not yet decided what to do...

    Favorite Yachts

Until Ullyses, it was Pangea. Favorite classic styled yacht would be Talitha G. Favorite small yacht was a 66-foot, double-ender Nethship built by Lowland.

i think my favourite yacht (now) would be a morph between the helicopter deck/hangar of octopus, the styling of princess marina, length around 100m with sub, big transom door with a lot of toys and ice class A3 with and that all with hydrogen engines, Lars, can you design this one for me? ;)

edit:forgot to say, if that all doesn't work out in my future i would be proud to own that 40 footer from delta powerboats ;)

    interesting thread...

generally speaking, I like boats with clean lines a nice sheer line. i really dont' care for the popular and un seaworthy reverse sheer found on so many "sports" yachts or smaller boats with the bow dipping down. yuck! can't imagine getting stuck in 6 footers and burying the bow in every wave!

simple works better for me, multiple wavy lines on the profile, arching, curving, waving, leaping windows and creases jsut dont' do it. some of the newer Azimut are just way too busy looking. Others have a layered wedding cake look with multiple layers piled on each other, almost like after thoughts. Or needless apendages... like the Woody Woodpecker look of the Marquis 40SC...

And it needs a bow, just the right amount of foredeck. Some builders (especially smaller boats, under 60/65) try to squeeze every single cubic inch they can in accomodations and extend the house too far forward resulting in a stuby look.

When it comes to smaller boats, I love the traditional looks of Hinkleys, Sabres, GB EastBays, and Vicems! Love those Vicems!!!

    Lurssen's 223' "Kismet"

I am leaning towards this particular model as my favorite. I love the sleek design and luxory of the whole package. It is more of the perfect size with no regrets. Has anyone had any interest in this ship beside myself? I think this is the complete package.

    Hi,

I would say the Owner does, and as I have only heard praise for the boat as a whole from everyone who has been aboard from our very own Carl here to a guest who stayed aboard with the Owner I would say quite truthfully you are not alone in your interest for this vessel.

There is a review of it here on Yacht Forums that you could read if you haven't already.

It can be found here: http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/lurssen-yacht/7997-review-lurssen-yachts-224-kismet.html

Thanks for the info on this vessel. I will go check out the additional stuff I haven't covered yet. I can't wait to get a vessel such as this for my own.

Always thought the yacht I liked best was called "Gallant Lady" long time ago, built by Feadship I think. I am sure it is called by another name now but I always liked the looks of the above yacht.

 ... hmmm... here's but a few of mine: Acajou, Adler, many of JB's designs, Carinthia VII, Predator 68's, Pershing 115.. the list keeps going on and on and on and on and on! I've attached a beautiful old favourite of mine - this old Baglietto seen at a marina in Villefranche.
