The second inverted bow yacht has been launched and this time it has been launched by Feadship. Her name is Predator and measures a cool 72M LOA. Under construction, she was known as hull number 674 and built at the Feadship De Vries yard, Predator stands as an element of great design. Speaking of design, her Naval architect has been De Voogt Naval Architect with an interior by the legendary Bannenberg studios. The yacht's overall appearance is simply striking. The gracefulness of the reversed bow immediately captures the eye. This is followed by a sleekly designed superstructure combining to create almost a bullet-like effect for the yacht. Predator definitely looks fast while sitting. Some of the first pictures of this unique yacht came to us by fellow member Bjorn Moonen. Here is a pic that he posted a while back of her when she was transfering.
Compliments of one of our esteemed members, here's the complete video on the delivery of Predator... http://www.hanoff.nl/674/ Click on the "January 5th, 2008" for the video of the launch ceremony.
Dunno about that bow. It will be nice to see some helicopter shots from a high angle of view .... Kelly on the fence
I was simply lucky that I didn't drive the dike flatout that morning and took some time to take in the scenery. I'm not su sure if the bow compliments the overall design. It may take some getting used to, but to me it looks a tiny bit out of place. I guess we'll see the first images in the magazines in a month or two.
Hi Bradp, nice pictures but I am quite sure that we do not allow pics with watermarks and copyright marks in them. Also, we do not allow links and pics to the particular source you accessed them from.

Admin Note: these pics are compliments of one of our most respected members. For security reasons, he doesn't post because he's too busy making things happen in the yachting industry.
Symetry It may be an optical illusion, but there is an apparent absence of symetry in her aft buttocks (relative to P & S)
That wouldn't be a surprise, after all... half the bow is missing! But as you said, it's an optical delusion. The stern is symmetrical.
I've just seen her in real life. I think the picture will fit once the grey coat is removed and the blue hull is visible. Very impressive yacht.
PREDATOR(IMO No: 1009314) 26-02-2008 Amsterdam It was raining cats and dogs today. So this brought a welcome brightness to the day. Client is said to be Russian. The conventional back half is a bit of a letdown, compared to the daring front half. Very cool experiment though. Kelly
