    Notice though, it is a small chopper, the yacht does not have really any clearance issues and the pontoons on the chopper help a lot in distributing the loads over the deck. Still pretty nice to land something on a sport boat like that.

    I had seen that one before. Dose anyone know the type of chopper it is? For me the sport boats are not the thing, but that amphibian heli is nice. Would not mind taking it for a spin.:D

    Thanks for the help. I have a question, I had a crazy Idea to put a Bell/Augusta BA-609 on a Yacht. It is a Virtical lift plane, like the Marienes have. http://www.bellagusta.com/air_ba_gallery.cfm

    I know it is a crazy idea, but it holds up to 9 people and has a range of 1,000nm at twice the speed of comparable helis. So, it could work :eek: Let me know what you all think about that, and also, the specs for the Yacht.

    It is still being flight tested, but Agusta is taking orders. Sight says that the first two production years are already ordered. But first delivery is still two years out I think. But yes, the Yacht would have to be large. I think though it can be under 100m. Am looking at more specs. ;)

    What are your thoughts on having this as a tendor?

    In reality, no, at least not until someone else has tried it out for this purpose...;)

    Length is allmost irrelevant, If you are going to put it in a hangar you will need atleast a 60-65ft beam. If this were a cat. or a trimaran the boat could be very short.

    If you can afford it, go for it.

    WEll KC135delta: Nice name reminds me of the airtankers while growing up. Anywho, I was thinking afo 82 to 85 meters. On a monohull. Would make the beam about 15-18m. Still not what is needed for a hanger, but a starting point. Never thought of it on a cat. Any more thoughts about this on a cat? How short?

    For now it is a fictional story, but who knos if the situation improves and the 609 proforms maybe it can happen.:cool:

    You should look at the thread on the ShadowCat...That could be an option for the Bell/Agusta, however, not sure how it would be stored and if the beam is wide enough ???? :confused:

    The shadowcat. OK I will look at it. True, storage would be difficult, but I think that the 609, may not always need to be stored. As for beam, I think that 6m, is the smallest, but I have not run numbers. The 609 is still a ways off.:)

    Ok I have a question for you all! I am reading over information on, the EC 155 and S-76C++. It to me looks like they are very similar:confused:

    What are your thoughts on these two :eek:

    Sikorsky makes helicopters. Ok, There's my 2 cents.


    In many cases it comes down to support for one or the other in the area of operation, individual operator experience and preference.

    The EC-155 is made by Eurocopter.
    The S-76C++ is made by Sikorsky.
