Middle East.. why?

    why is the middle east so attracted by the boat companies? has anyone built a factory there? any statistics on the likely future growth? or any country in perticular?

    The Middle East is an emerging market and I see it clearly here in Egypt, where yachting is now a recent trend and is growing and has become a fashion. There is tremendous potential in yacht sales growth in the Middle East.

    When you combine water and wealth, the result is a new market for manufacturers to chase. Dubai has recently created over 1,200 miles of new shoreline with its two island projects, as well as the one of the world' largest, if not the largest, mega yacht marina. A certain per centage of most any affluent society seems to always be attracted to yachts.
