    Hello all! I am trying to find out information of boating in the Bay. Or say taking a trip from Maine into the bay. Any discussion on this trip or waypoints would be great! I am thinking of useing this as part of a book.;)

    I would think that a "book" on the subject may qualify as a poor seller.
    It's a treacherous journey through the Arctic to access the Bay, or a very long portage taking the southern route.:rolleyes:

    Maybe, but it is the trip that is the point, as a settig. To go from Maine out to Halifax up around Cape Bretton, and into the St. Lawerance. The trip would be filled with lots to see and some very nice ports, well untill you get into the strates.

    I really like yachts and the area. If a yacht is made to be a destination and with all the new high tech comm gear and yacht materials why not take this trip?:confused:

    I wasn't aware there was a way to get from the St-Lawrence to the Hudson Bay.

    There is not a direct rute, you are right. But the two trips are ones that would be nice. I gess one of the reasons I have thought about the trip is the lack of Yachts that make the trip. Boats of any means say over 50m. I have been told the whale watching off New Foundland on the way to Hudson Bay would be very nice.

    Anywho, the two trips would have to be separate, or the St. Laerance in the spring and Hudson Bay latter.:confused:

    Problem with geography


    Someone can't spell and fails in geography....I won't bother making the corrections but don't plan a trip to the Hudson Bay on this info. Also, you don't go around Cape Breton. Labrador is part of Newfoundland. You would travel the coast of Labrador to enter Hudson Bay. Very few pleasure boats make the trip.

    Thanks for the help. Yes, my spelling or rather typing was poor. But why not make the trip? The area has wonderful views, and bays. I guess it is just me, who would want to explore, or to get out of the way. :eek:
