As you know TSOE.com produces additionally to our main work
3d-models of actual yachts for architectural renderings.

    New main selling outlet: http://www.exchange3d.com/cubecart/index.php
63 pc. from the range 2003-2006.

There are some more previews of the objects as on our homepage: http://www.tsoe.com/neu/yachts.htm

Some of our own designs now are usable for any kind of use:
Adervising/TV/Movies without royalties (like the "Atahualpa" see the other threads of yachtforums), it's mentioned in the texts there.

Yea i saw it too, there are just one or two details that want adjusting.. but other wise it is pretty much the real yacht. The Falcon on the main sail of the middle mast.. the radar and comm mast is too thin.

yes. that's the target, i'm not allowed to make a model of the Maltese Falcon - tried to get it, didn't. And i'm sure the real 3d-thing in my computer has nearly nothing to do with a real boat or such an construction. It is only a shape for the background of new architecture-projects in marinas ore at watersides. But it is my skill to form that shape in a way the observer thinks in the first moment he knows what he is seeing. The logo surely is preserved - and i will not derogate their copyrights.

In this situation, why not put a nice Maltese Cross there instead...? It looks empty now.. ;)

    aaaaaaa...
in my main-area of architectural renderings (www.tsoe.com) this is very very tricky. It's not allowed to make money with other people's work/ideas (hey, you know as far as i remember the threads). Even if they don't answer - and even when it hurt's. There is a serious edge, if i get over ...! So that are only inspired shapes (by official published photos, some from interested tourists and spotters of real traffic vehicles on public waters), blown up to 3d for a better fitting into a photograph of a building-place. Different to other jobs.

I know, it is a fine line. But as long as you are not selling a product they have the rights to sell, I guess it is OK. Should you copy one of my designs that are not produced, you are competing with me in a way. But if you make a 3D of one of my existing boats, I would just be flattered!

You are not allowed to copy a photo as a drawing either, but if you combine several pictures as a 3D, it is OK as long as the object is public.

I think you must be able to sell 3D models of anything that can be pictured by anyone, same as artists and photographers do. Also with logotypes, just think of a certain Warhol painting with a Campbells Soup can...
