This has left a few in the UK bemused...anyone shed any light on why they do this ? (I did a forum search, sorry if its a re-post ) http://media.putfile.com/Incredible-Fishing-Video/320
Nothing fishy here, it's just the acoustic signature of the hull. Just ask any of the sportfish boat builders!
Not suicidal. If they were they'd bring along a frying pan, a good fileting knife and some butter. Nope, not suicidal, didn't see the fish pushing a cooler full of Chablis up to the boat either.
lol, that is one of the funniest things i've ever seen. it looked like the light made them jump but does anyone know why they do that?
Due to many lost brothers and sisters and parents as well from past encounters, the fish have learnt that when they see the spotting light to RUNNNNNN. Just put the boat in the vicinity of the jumping fish and you would obtain a days catch in a few minuites. LOL
Those fish are obviously trying to escape from the water. Wonder what was put in there to make them act this way... Electricity? Chemicals? A reaction to the light? Smelly socks / underwear? Note: I have seen fish jump to avoid larger predators and pockets of low/no oxygen water, but nothing of this magnitude.
That is most probably somewhere in Brazil, my guess would be in the Amazon or something. The guy mentions that being "an amazing reserve" (as in natural reserve/park)... He also mentions that the water is clear and extremely beautiful... Except for this, he is clearly as amazed as us... (He keeps saying "fantastic, amazing, etc"...) (he is speaking in br-portuguese)
