We just purchased this from a marina where it sat abandoned after it was sold online to a gentleman in Africa. We are in Florida btw. It sat on the hard since 21 with the marina occasionally starting the motors. My question is, does anyone have any input on the older Neptunus yachts. She’s not in horrible shape at all and we know we are going to have to put money into it. We are late 40s and plan on retiring on her.

Neptunus is a wealth of knowledge if you call them. What are your questions exactly?

Just pretty much general information. I’m familiar with other brands ie Hatteras, Azimut, Viking, and others. First time dealing with this brand. I have reached out to Neptunus for the original books on this particular boat and they can get them to me for 300 bucks, I’ve ordered them. Wife don’t know though. It looks like it will be a great boat once we have gone back through it.

If "original books" means Owners Manual, Parts Manual, original systems model/serial numbers, electrical schematics, and plumbing diagrams... well worth the $300.

This, the Neptunus owners manual is the best owners manual I've seen from any of the Manufacturers, Hatteras would be a very very close second.

That’s what they are. I was hoping they would be good. As I’ve went through the boat I have found records from the original owner all the way up until it was repossessed from like a 3rd owner. All maintenance and work done to it as well. Starboard engine rebuilt in 2017. Teak floors in 2014. And the usual maintenance info along with the surveys done up until 21. But she has been on the hard since 21 and we have found some dry rot around the windows and one wall where water had came in from a speaker hole from the flybridge. Also found that I can’t get the 15kw westerbeke generator to turn over as well.
